He is buried in the Dido Cemetery, along side of his wife, Mary Willie Hicks. She was born on Jan 6,1918 and died July 9, 1933. Shortly before her death, she sold the majority of the ranch to P.R. Bonds and it has been the Bonds Ranch ever since. There were believed to be decendants; Mary Jane Robinson, b. 2-12-1836 d. 1-20-1918, and Jane S. Richardson, b. 10-23-1857 d. 3-15-1946. I have not yet determined their relationship. There was actually a community that sprung up called Hicks, Texas (now a vanished town). The eastern edge of the Hicks property abutted the railroad, which runs in a NNE direction. Hicks Airfield was named after him, but the information I have on the history is too lengthy to put in this email. I am a reporter for the Times-Record, and I put out a weekly historical column concerning the surrounding area of Saginaw and Lake Worth, Texas. I am currently searching for obits, church records, tax records, cattlemen associations - you name it. Any info you may be able to supply me would help me in my search. For instance, did he come to Texas because of the Peter's Colony? What religion was he? Etcetera, Etcetera........ Any bit of information helps to put the jigsaw puzzle together, no matter how seemingly unimportant. Anyway, Hope I helped you out! Kenneth D. Klein
