I just traced my family lineage back to Hiram Hicks, he was my g-g-g greatgrandfather, my g-g greataunt Viriginia Linkes married Adam Hicks, Jr. who was a second cousin, I think, on her mother's side. John Hiram Linkes was my great-grandfather, John Meredith Linkes was my mom's dad. I am trying to find out if there are any Hicks who signed the 1924 Baker Roll of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
