However, A.P. Hix is buried in the Lebanon City Cemetery with his second wife, and there is also a tombstone there for someone named Elizabeth Hix. The cemetery book states that she was the wife of Hiram Hix and I think she died in the late 1800s. I can look it up if you are interested, but I have no idea who she might be or who Hiram Hix might have been. I have some notes from my mother that this lady was called "Aunt Lizzie" but that's all. Laclede Co. MO (Lebanon)is not far from Greene Co. MO (Springfield). There were many Hix/Hicks from this area. My ancestor, A.P. Hix, was originally from Camden County, just north of Laclede County.
