One mentions the estate of one Hiram HICKS, ca. 1881, wife Elizabeth, page 24, "Estate Records 1772-1935/Richmond Co.,NC" by Myrtle N. Bridges. The other lists Hiram HICKS as a Testator, ca. 1881, (Book 6, p. 224 from "North Carolina Wills: A Testator Index, 1665-1900" by Thornton W. Mitchell) and is all listed in Mrytle Bridges's "OUR NATIVE HEATH", page 275. This is the only time I have run across this name, so Richmond Co.,NC may be a good place to start looking. This Hiram may be a descendant of the same line your Hiram came from since names are repeated so often in a family. Richmond Co. was formed from early Anson Co.,NC in 1779. I have checked all of my early Anson Co.,NC books but do not see your Hiram. Sorry. Good luck. Joanne H.
