Researching Edwin Elliot Hicks, born in Cornwall Dec 31, 1834, Died Jan 1, 1919 in Euphrasia Township, Grey County, Ontario, Canada. His mother was probably Eliza/Elizabeth Hicks. Found an Edwin Hicks on 1841 census in St. Breward, Camelford, Cornwall, son of Eliza Hicks. Hicks is her maiden name. Per his obituary, he immigrated to Canada in 1844 - possibly with his mother. Have never been able to find a trace of her. He married Martha Redfearne (spelling is per her headstone), had four children. Love to hear from anyone who may be connected.
