My gggrandfather was James Newton Hicks from the Chatooga/Floyd County (Rome)Georgia area. He married (Melinda?) Jane Stewart and they had 9 children, one being my ggrandmother Leaston Hicks-Blaylock. I am truly trying to trace my Blaylock line, but got stuck so now I'm trying my luck on the Hicks side!
