Hicks) - my g-grandfather - was married 1st to a Hattie Carroll (daughter of John B. Carroll & Sarah Adams). Date of Marriage: 19 March 1896 on Davys Run. They had 2 children: Luther C. Hicks: DOB: 8 Dec. 1896 - DOD: 15 April 1977 & Myrtle Hicks: DOB: 04 Feb 1899 - DOD: 30 Jan 1980. Hattie's DOD is not not known (we had been told abt. 1901 - unable to find any documentation) - but on 7 March 1903 G-granpa Mart married my g-grandmother Victoria Taylor. They had one son Elmer J. Hicks (my grandfather) DOB: 12 Dec 1900 - DOD: 14 Apr 1986. We have no info. as of now why the above events played out as they did...we probably never will.
