She had two sons, Edward Fate Hicks and Will Hicks. She is listed in the 1880 US Census in SC, Anderson District, as Netta Hix. She is also listed 1900 US census in SC as Nettie Hicks. She is buried in the Shady Grove Baptist Church graveyard in Belton SC. Relatives say that she was an Indian woman from the Shenandoah Valley. It is said that she said two brothers who lived in Greenville SC and owned a store. I can find no death certificate for her. Any information would be good.

They are listed on the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery as winners, and, on the 1783 -1909 Colonial Headrights along with other Hicks'. I have reason to believe they migrated from Virginia to NC to SC and then stayed in Georgia. All the Hicks listed below were born in Georgia. My ggrandmother was Charlotte Hicks born in Tennesee in 1852. the best I can figure she is the daughter of Nancy Jenkins and Adrey Hicks. I Nancy with ALL her children on the 1860 census.
