In fact, to my knowledge, Adrey Hicks of the 1790 census has not been linked yet, either. It is believed that Joseph and Nancy Hicks of Morgan county, TN are the father and mother of Adry Hicks (who married Nancy Jenkins). Joseph and Nancy and some of their children moved to Texas. I would love to hear from anyone who has any further information. God Bless, Cindy [email protected]

Surnames: Hicks, Capps, Kimbell and Harris Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Cei.2ACEB/3441 Message Board Post: Looking for info on a William Hicks and a Precilla Capps md 1824 Habersham Co GA. Have no success in finding this couple after their marriage anywhere. Does anyone out there know of these 2 people. I figure they both had to be minimally b abt 1806 maybe before that. I believe she may be a sibling to Bennett Capps b 1817 GA or NC and could be the key to finding where his family was before his appearance 1840 in Overton Co Tn. later Cumberland Co Ky. There is a land lottery listing John, Bennett, Sarah, Leonard and Steven Capps winning a 1827 Georgia Land Lottery for land in Lee Co GA. The grant was not granted until 1837. I believe Bennett Capps was already in Tn by this time as his earliest child was b 1838 or 1839 in Tn. I would love to talk with anyone with early 1800 Hicks in Habersham Co. Bennett's parents possibly could be John Capps and Salley Kimbell out of Warren Co NC. Salley Kimbell's parents possibly Precilla Harris and Leonard Kimbell. John Capps parents were John Capps and Amey Bennett Warren Co NC. Thanks, Nancy
