Surnames: Bigby, Payne, Hicks, Walls Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Cei.2ACEB/3194.2 Message Board Post: Mary Hicks was married to a Mr. Bigby. Did she have a daughter named Susie Bigby, that may have married F. Henry Walls. In a book by Paul J. Long, "Our Hill Country Heritage II" it said Susie's mother was Polly Bigby. Polly is a nickname for Mary. Susie and Henry Walls had a daughter , Susan Jane Walls that married John Carrol Payne in Habersham county Georgia in 1811. Their son, Benjamin Franklin Payne applied for the Eastern Band Cherokee Guion Miller Roll. He was turned down because Susie Bigby did not enlist on any roll. If you have any additional information I would be greatly indebted to you. Thanks! Ronnie Sellers
