Dear readers, my name is Ralph Ravestijn I am from Maassluis in the Netherlands and I am new to this list. The last name of my grandmother is Voorbach and her first male ancestor is Johannes Voorbach who married in Schiedam in 1751. In his marriage certificate he is said to be from Niederrosbach and he becomes a member of the Evangelian Lutheran church in Schiedam. At this moment of my life I don't have much time for genealogical research anymore though I feel fascinated about Johannes Voorbach and like to discover his roots. In 1742 Johanna Elisabeth Voorbach was baptized (Luthers) in Breda as daughter of Johann Conrad Voorbach (soldier) and Anna Margaretha Rosbach. The witnesses are Johan George Voorbach and Anna Maria Elisabeth Mühlin. I have not found a connection between them and Johannes Voorbach yet. My question is if someone has any information about any Vo(o)rbachs or has done research in Niederrosbach and can give me some advices.
