Jeff, I have been in Waldmichelbach... not too long ago, 11 September 2001, in fact! The town has a website. I have a contact, the Catholic priest, who I found while I was there. I also have a contact in the small village of Unter-Schonmattenwag, which is a couple of miles south. I was there searching for info on my GGmother, Elizabeth Schroth who left there in 1873. I don't know what an Ortsfamilienbuch is... Chuck Sizer Johann Georg Krebs came from Waldmichelbach/Hessen. He was born in 1755. Married to Anna Barbara Muller on 19 November 1776. Anna was born in Leimen on the date 24 April 1754. I would be interested in contacting someone that knows the area or has contacts in the village (area). Also, is there a Ortsfamilienbuch available for the village of Waldmichelbach/Hessen or Leimen area? Jeff Krebs E-mail: jeffkrebs@shaw.ca ______________________________

There is a "Familienbuch Wald Michelbach" listing families with their children http://tinyurl.com/k24i in catholic LDS-film #996670. Also there are transcripts of the parish registers of Wald Michelbach, 1808-1875 done by Dorothea Pfefferkorn http://tinyurl.com/k25d using Kirchenbuchduplikat 1808-1875 (Evangelische Kirche Wald Michelbach).
