Hi Lorri, You need to do a bit more research before you can find where your ancestor came from. You need to start with records in American to find her home town. Look at the records in the place where he applied for citizenship. These would include county records and church records. Also, look at club and fraternal records too. If that doesn't work, do the same for his relatives. You probably won't find him by looking at German records until you know the village or town where he lived.
