    3. Records of the German Reformed Church of New York City from the 1760s and 1770s were published between 1995 and 1997 in the New York Genealogical and Biographical Record. The records show that Johannes Reissner was buried on 4 January 1765 at age 68. He and many other members of the congregation are recorded as natives of Hachenburg. The Family History Library has microfilmed the Reformed Church records of the town of Hachenburg, Hessen-Nassau. I checked them and did not find a record of baptism of Johannes Reissner in about 1697. Scanning the records, I didn't notice any Reissners. The Familienbuch had no entry for Reissner. Can Hachenburg refer to a larger area that covers a region within the Westerwald, not just the town of Hachenburg? If so, how can I identify the parish where the Reissner family lived? Thank you.
