Her father Michael Vollmer brought his daughter and his two sons, Jacob and John Vollmer, to Philadelphia on the good ship, Leslie, October 7, 1749. His brother Adam followed on the Lydia ten-days later. Elisabetha is a documented Reformierte and I speculate that her brothers and parents were also. I was told that Reformierte from this area would attend church at Fellerdilln, but an LDS searcher said that Reformierte from Fellerdilln would attend Evangelische Kirche Haiger, but no separate records. And No Vollmers in the time frame 1725-1735 were found in Kirche Haige records. . I believe the Count of Nassau-Dillenburg left the Old Belief to follow Luther, but in 1573 he joined the Reformierte. I am surprised that there is no Reformierte Church in or close to Dillenburg? Am I missing something? Is there an Archive which might hold departure records for this period? FOR THE RECORD: please note this is mostly speculation. The names of men and boats and dates of arrival are from boat records. But the arrival of Elisabetha and her relationship to the men is speculation. As is the relationship of the men. One document suggests Dellenberg of Nassau as the origin for Elisabetha. We have been told that this might refer to Dillenburg in Dillkreis, Hessen-Nassau. Another source suggests Rosswag and Lomersheim, Württemberg for the family. Any comments appreciated... Hal
