Can anyone tell me if there is a town in Nassau? Also, if one was married in Wiesbaden, which I believe is in Nassau, would they say that they were married in Baden? Thanks. Cas Endlein

There are many towns in Nassau, including the town of Nassau itself. . If one was married in Wiesbaden, which was in Nassau, one would not say they were married in Baden. The "baden" in Wiesbaden refers to the fact that the city was a "spa" with medicinal baths. Baden comes from the capital city of one of the several Duchies of Baden, the city of Baden-Baden. There was the duchy of Baden-Baden and the duchy of Baden-Durlac eventually reunited as the duchy of Baden.
