I'm new to the list, having just discovered that this is where I need to be. Grandmother and Aunt spoke about family being from Darmstadt and Hesse. Just received grgrandfathers declaration of intent and the place of residence is given as Grosszimmen. Can't find it on a map; did a Google search and a few other things but came up with nothing. Has anyone come across that place name? Thanks. Jackie

Gross-Zimmern (or correctly Groß-Zimmern) is just about 6 miles from my place. I.E. east of the City of Darmstadt.
