Hello! I am a new member, researching the surname of BERGHAUS. I have a Nicolas Berghaus who came to Nova Scotia on the ship "Sally" in 1752. He was listed as a farmer, age 36, from Darmstadt. He had a wife Gertraud but I do not know if they were married in Germany or in Nova Scotia. Would anyone have any info on this couple or know how I could go about finding a marriage record and or a record of birth for either or both?
