in my origianl posting i asked what war was in germany , The reason i asked was i have a picture of my great great grandfather in a military unifrom. i had spent all night. trying on the internet to learn some of the history of germany. but was in vain. i not only have to learn history. but how to use the internet. since my inquirey a kind gentleman has looked at my picture and identified it, about when and where the picture was taken. thank you very much for all your help. cindi
