In their search by location, it gives Fürth, Hesse Darmstadt. Open it up and it provides a selection of both Evangelical and Catholic Records. I have been trough the St. Johann der Taufer Catholic Church records and they are fairly complete back to the 1660s. I have checked out four Evangelical Church tapes from the earliest times and they are all from Hammelbach, Bensheim, and Rimbach, principally. Fürth is listed as only the origin of a few of families. The majority are from Lörzenbach, Mörlenbach, and Rimbach. The evangelical church existed from at least the early 1700s and there should be records from that period. I am looking for the records from 1760 to 1820. Has anyone seen these or know where they are located and can be seen. -- Jay E.
