My third gt. grandmother was Marie Magdalene Ilgen, daughter of Rev. Ludwig Albrecht Wilhelm and Anna Barbara (nee Kautz) Ilgen, born Oct. 12, 1787, in Friesburg, Salem Co., New Jersey, US. She married Jacob Bowers (Bauer) in Haines Township, Centre Co., Pennsylvania, in about 1803. Jacob and Marie moved to Hamilton Co., Ohio in 1804. They were of the Reformed Church. Hamilton Co. later was subdivided and this couple lived in that part called Montgomery Co., Ohio, near Germantown. Is this the Ilgen family of which you inquire? Earl Kisling, San Pablo, CA
