I am trying to locate anyone researching the Winter family in Hesse Darmstadt. The family I am interested in is that of Peter and Fredericka Bauer Winter who immigrated to the United States in the mid 1800's. They lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where Peter was a barber. They had several children one of whom was Emil Winter a prominent Pittsburgh banker and steel manufacturer. Any help on the Winter or Bauer families in Hesse Darmstadt would be greatly appreciated.
