    3. In searching in Rheinhessen, I've noticed a lot of parish gaps from about 1796 through about 1810 and as late as 1830. Is there any way I can find this information??? Daniel

    3. I've also noticed that in several of the towns whose records I've looked at, there seemed to be change in the way the records were kept around 1800-1810. Indexing, if there is any, usually started around then too. In Gross Bieberau, that's also when the Family Book started. Was there a particular cultural or religious administration change at that time?
