My data from Hessen lists men's given names and this has been perplexing for me. If I knew the given name name and nick name I will be able to fit unlinked people into my family tree. The time period is the 1500's and 1600's. Here goes: Henn= Heinz= Heintz= Cunz= Cuntz= Jobss= Jost= Grundf= Anyone have any ideas? I habe been at genealogy since 1977 but there is always something new to learn. All help appreciated, Edmund, New York
