Hi All I have read that a Census for the whole of 'Germany' was held around 1871. Is this correct? If it is correct can anyone tell me what information the census would contain and where can the records be viewed please? I am particularly interested in my Gr Grandfather Georg Heinrich GRAHL (and his family) who was born on 10 April 1849 in Frankfurt am Main. He was a wine exporter to Britain and he later married in Liverpool, England in 1873. Regards Dave Grahl
