Hi I am new to the list and I am seeking any information on my great great grandparents who were believed to have been born in Frankfurt au Main, as stated on the British Census. They were Elijah Stiel (Steil) who was known as Elias Steel in the UK, he was born about 1820. The earliest records that I have found was his son, Jacob born 1849 in North Shields, Northumberland, England. His wife recorded on the birth certificate was Frederica Hahn, I believe also to be known as Rachel Han (as recorded on the certificate of their second son in 1851) she was born in 1818. I would appreciate any information regarding the above.
