Jan, I have found my UEBERROTH relatives in these books. I do not have a copy, but I did a search on Google.com and found the following: Ella Gieg, Goldbacher Straße 3, 64750 Lützelbach, Germany "Auswanderungen aus dem Odenwaldkreis" This is her address and I understand she reads/writes English. So you may write directly to her. There are 5 volumes. I also found a site _www.iowagenealogy.org_ (http://www.iowagenealogy.org) which apparently has copies of e. gieg's work. 943.41/GIE Gieg, Ella "Auswanderungen aus dem Odenwaldkreis". You might try here for an interlibrary loan. Finally, there is this reference: (This is the Erbach in Odenwald, Hessen, Germany) Kreisarchiv Odenwaldkreis Michelstädter Str. 12 64711 Erbach Germany Holdings: The district archive of Odenwaldkreis in Erbach serves the Gräflich Erbach-Fürstenauisches Archiv at Steinbach, which contains a large number of records regarding emigration since 1750. The personal papers of Mrs. Ella Gieg are housed here, as well. A regional historian, Mrs. Gieg extensively studied emigration from the Odenwaldkreis to North America and published her results as Auswanderungen aus dem Odenwaldkreis in five volumes (1988-97).
