Hello all! I am new to the list and would like to post my information. I am researching the BERG-PHUFF(PFUFF)-HIEDERHOLD-HENKEL lines. There are a few other names but I am having problems deciphering them. My BERG line is the main line and the others are connected by marriage. This is the info I have: 1.) Johannes BERG m. Cozetta Fay WICKERSHAM d. 10 Dec 1969 I have just recently gotten some of this translated so its still kind of sketchy so please bear with me :-) If anyone has ANY information on these families or even the areas they were in ( or if I have misspelled something) I would GREATLY appreciate hearing from you. Thanks in advance Stephanie
Stephanie, am I right that the (sp.) in your email means "not sure of spelling"? My ancestors have lived for 2 Generations in the area, so I can give you a few corrections: First the names: It hink that HIEDERHOLD = WIEDERHOLD, PHUFF(PFUFF) = PHAFF(PFAFF) PFARR? FROLICH = FROHLICH (o umlaut) GRUTHEIL = GUTHEIL Now to the places: Kenuthshausen could be Berndshausen, Gberappenfeld is Oberappenfeld Hergedsfeld is Hergetsfeld Schenklenfeld is Schenklengsfeld Berndshausen, Appenfeld, and Hergetsfeld now belong to the Municipality of 34593 Knuellwald Diether, 65824 Schwalbach, Germany > -----Original Message----- > From: Stephanie Berg [mailto:dreamchsr1969@sbcglobal.net] > Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2005 1:08 AM > To: HESSE-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: New to list Schenklengsfeld > > > Hello all! > I am new to the list and would like to post my information. > > I am researching the BERG-PHUFF(PFUFF)-HIEDERHOLD-HENKEL lines.
