    3. Thierry: do you have any recommendation using HADIS to find the family name BATTENFELD? My ancestors emigrated from the Village of Battenfeld, near Battenberg, arriving in Philadelphia on the ship Two Brothers in August 1750. Which subsection would include Battenfeld/Battenberg? This area is not far from Marburg, in the Allensdorf Postal Zone. Thank you. 3. The City archive of Battenberg can be found in the HStAM (Hessisches Staatsarchiv Marburg), Section 330 Battenberg. Most hits in HADIS for "Battenfeld", however, may be found in section 180 Biedenkopf. These are mainly refering to the town of Battenfeld. I suggest you try using the search function with more significant key words within the HStAM section. Good luck and regards, Thierry   Dr. Thierry P.
