Sorry. After I sent my last reply about Zollner being the architect, I was wondering if perhaps it meant that rather than being the professional who drew up the plans for the building, it instead referred to him as being the driving force behind getting the building built. That would fit in quite nicely with him being a major businessman within the community. I didn't catch it right away because a couple of businessmen within the area actually DID design their own buildings.
