    3. Thank you, Thierry. I did see a reference to Darmstadt so perhaps it is City Centre of Darmstadt. Eva Werner was born October 4, 1853, and her husband, Conrad Werner was said to be a construction worker in Germany. So, it makes sense that they would be located near the city. Thank you again for the explanation of Innenstadt. This is very helpful in providing direction to me. It just signifies "City Centre". That's all. This exists in any small or large city in Germany and abroad. None of these formerly were a town of that name or would typically be mentioned as birth place. It is as if in US somebody would refer to be born in a city called "Down Town". You therefore should follow other traces or indices than the Innenstadt of Frankfurt. If somebody would have been born there, he would have indicated Frankfurt to be his city of birth.   Good luck & cheers, Thierry ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to HESSE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
