I agree to Thierry's detailed explanations. As to 'Liebstall', this is a spelling / writing error. It certainly should be 'L e i bstall'. The Duchess most certainly had her own horse stables and your ancestor then was the responsible secretary / administrator for this institution. Would be interesting to find out if there were such stables (belonging to the Duchess). The parallel to 'Leibstall' can be seen in the term 'Leibdiener', in those days the personal servant / butler of an aristocrat or rich person.
