I am trying to get some records from the archives in Kassel, but there is a dramatic time delay because they apparently do not have enough employees to do the research. They were able to get some initial records for me, but it was a lengthy process, and I now realize that I need several more records. Paul, I cannot provide you with the name of a local researcher, but I can tell you form my own research at the archives in Kassel they do not allow visitors to make JPGs or PDFs of their records. Only the archive staff are allowed to do that. From my own experience if the records you need copies of are just a few and they are not busy that will make you a copy of it while you are there. In my experience they were hardcopies, but since they send me the copies I order as TIFFS on a CD, they probably could also make an electronic copy and put it on a jump drive of the person doing the research for you.
