Vadenrod is about 10km south of Alsfeld and about 8 km northwest of Lauterbach. My DECHERT ancestor arrived in NY in June 1849 giving Vadenrod as his origin. I have "750 Years of Vadenrod" by Heinrich Wahl. It is not indexed but given a year of birth or departure, for example, I can quickly scan it for Heinrich WELLER. Henry Benoit
