At least is seems to be important to enter that words GOEBEL/ WAECHTERSBACH with Umlauts resp. "oe" & "ae" to get promising results at search engines and databases. Good luck, Ralf

    3. Hi Posting my interests. Anna Maria HAEFLICH b 21 March 1836, Hesse - maybe came from Viernheim. I think she may be the Maria STUMPF who came with Carl STUMPF to Queensland, Australia on 'Helene' from Hamburg arrived 28 March 1856 in Moreton Bay, Queensland . The records have FRAU beside her name. That doesn't necessarily mean 'wife' does it? If so they may have lied to stay together on the ship. They married in Brisbane, Qld, AUS in 1857. Regards Judy

I have located the following Evangelist churches but would like a suggestion as to which would have been in existence around 1800, and would probably would have the sought after Kirchbuche. The information appears to be a combination of English & Geman. One translation indicates that "guard brook" = Wachterbach. 63607 is the Zip Code number for Wachtersbach.
