I would also like to communicate with any descendants of the children of John and his wife Catherine Wallace. Information I have is as follows: John Hensley was born circa 1838 in North Carolina (based on census information) and died April 1862 when he was killed by rebels in the civil war (... supposedly this was from his wife when she applied for a pension ...). He married Catherine Wallace on 28 Oct 1853 in Roane County, TN. After the death of John, Catherine remarried Henry Miles. Their children included: 1) Thomas Hensley who married Mary Cooley on 8 Dec 1872 in Roane County, TN. 2) Mary Hensley who married Robert McGowen. She died in Red Bank, Hamilton County TN. 3) Amy S. Hensley, based on census born circa 1856 4) Nelson R.
