He was a son of William S. Hensley, who came to Jefferson Co. Missouri along with three brothers in 1826, from Kanawha Co., VA (now West Virginia). Clifton's son, William C. (1852-1910), was my great grandfather, who lived in the Burton, KS area. His daughter, Eva Clara, was my paternal grandmother. My wife and I just made a trip to MO to follow up on some geneology leads. We located Clifton and Adaline's graves just east of Columbia in an old Baptist Church cemetery. The cemetery is Olivet, at Olivet Rd. and Route WW. The single monument is close to the old church and angled toward the SE (one of only two set that way - toward the church).
