I have seen Blanchey Allen as the first wife of John in the research of others but have not seen any proof of this? There seems to be a good deal of conclusions made by some Hensley researchers without any supporting documentation. John did marry Margaret McMahan which is the mother of Goodson McDaniel Hensley, John Baxter Hensley, Jane Amanda Hensley Wislon, and James P. Hensley. John Baxter Hensley's death certificate in Arknasas states his mother as Margaret McMahan. Do you have or know of any documentation that supports Blancey Allen as John Hensley's first wife? Is the James P Hensley that you mentioned James PORTER Hensley? If so then that is my great grandfather. He was married to Belle Alice Skinner. He was from Overton (I think county), Tennessee and died in Van Alstyne, Grayson, Texas. Belle was born somewhere in Texas and died in Dallas, Dallas, Texas. I have been trying to get more info on this Hensley line but seem to have come upon a brick wall in my search.
