The following is information about my HINSLEYs, who I have as far back as ROBERT HINSLEY b.ca1825, TN?. I need his marriage record, and the names of his parents and siblings. The following data is open to correction and/or addition: My ancestor was ROBERT HINSLEY b.abt.1825, TN?, d.aft.1880. His parents were possibly born in NC. Robert married JANE FOWLER. They lived at Temperance Hall, DeKalb Co. TN. Their children (all b.TN) were: (1) JAMES, b.1847-49, m.Nancy; (2) HARDY b.1848-50, m.Lucinda; (3) WILLIAM b.1850-52, m.Nancy; (4) JOSEPH O., b.2-14-1851, d.1930, bd.Walnut Grove Cem., Collin Co., TX; m.Delia Denny, dau. of Hardin Denny; (5) JOHN H. (my ancestor), b.6-10-1855, d.9-16-1935, bd.Walnut Grove Cem., Collin Co. TX; m.Reddie Denny, dau. of Hardin Denny; (6) MALISSA J., b.1856, m.W.R. Bates; (7) ALONZO "LON" b.1857-59 d.12-3-1929, bd.Walnut Grove Cem., Collin Co. TX; m.Margaret Carter; (8) THOMAS b.1861-63, m.Eliza; (9) WINGATE b.1868, m.Betty Driver; (10) ROBERT JR., b.1872; (11) MARY b.1874, moved to TX, m.Will Taylor, Collin Co. TX; (12) PETER T., b.1875-77, m.Bertha Gilmer, moved to Texas. Would love to hear from anyone who can fill in the gaps and/or make corrections. I have additional data on Robert Hinsley's children.
