Nadine-great idea to have everyone list their interests. Hopefully, we will stumble across a cousin! The farthest back I have been able to trace so far is Allen HENSLEY born abt 1817 in TN, married Mary Ann WILLIAMS abt 1830 in Monroe County, TN. Their children: 1. William R. HENSLEY born about 1837 in Monroe co. TN. He married Mary Ann ROILSTON 2. Margaret Josephine HENSLEY born 1840 in Monroe Co. TN She married a Thomas HUTSON or HUDSON in TN. She died 17 May 1876 in Livingston County, KY. 3. Martha C HENSLEY born 1843 MOnroe County, TN I have her married to a James THOMPSON. She died 10 Jan 1926 in Livingston County, KY 4. John Harvey HENSLEY born 14 Feb 1847 in Monroe Co, TN. He married first Sarah E. Vaughn in Livingston Co, KY -had one son William Second married Susan Elizabeth BURNS. They had 11 children all born in Tolu, Crittenden, KY. He died 03 Nov 1918 in Unity, Scott Co, MO. The 11 children were-Mary Alice, Thomas Marshall, Jennie Belle, Nora Lee, James Roy, Willin Lefete, Gracie Mae, Benjamin Eskew, Ollie Edgar, Iva Lorene, and John Evan. Benjamin Eskew was my grandfather. 5. Francis HENSLEY born abt 1850 in MOnroe Co, TN 6. Alexander HENSLEY born abt 1853 in Monroe Co, TN 7. Thomas A. HENSLEY born abt 1856 in Roane Co., TN I found a Rufus HENSLEY age 9 on the 1870 Livingston Co, KY census living with them. Shows him born in TN. I haven't ascertained if he is the son of Mary Ann and Allen or not. All the children moved to KY with their parents except for William who stayed in Tennessee. In 1860 the family was in Roane County, TN, by 1870 they had moved to Livingston County, KY. Allen appears on the 1870 census, but not the 1880. Does anyone have a copy of Marty Grant's Hensley pages? I know Allen was on them, but I didn't make a copy of all of his pages. And now of course they have been taken off. I don't know the name of Allen's or Mary Ann's parents. Mary Ann was born in South Carolina. Her mother's name is listed on the census of 1860 as Ellender WILLIAMS born in England. Any help in any direction would be appreciated. Debi HENSLEY Burgess
