Have we collected migration stories and records of individual NC or VA Hensley families, and followed them to a particular "gathering" area, such as Wayne Co., TN? If you had a virtual map or regular map, you could "plot" where a particular group congregated at a particular time period. I think this is an interesting idea of doing a "Roll-Call", maybe it would help all of us sort out just what "tribe" of Hensleys we belong to. I know that I am "stuck" in Wayne Co., TN with my William Hensley b. 1830 there, later went to Searcy & Van Buren co., ARK, fought in the Civil War (CSA), but have not been able to confirm or prove his parentage.
