My Hensley line is as follows: Harmon Hensley born 1780 died 1838 married to Betsy ? in Sumner Co. Tenn. Both died in Texas Harmon was a part of Austin's Colony had a land grant near Brenham, Texas. His children were: William married 1/8/1841 to Malissa Nunn James Hensley John Motley Johnson Charles born 1811 married Indiana Fitzgerald (sister to Nancy) 2/22/1839 in Washington Co. Texas. Andrew Jackson married 3/11/1838 to Nancy Fitzgerald Sarah Mary Margaret married to Claiborne Lawrence 2/20/1838 Charles is our grgr grandfather born 3-9-1811 Maury Co. Tn. and died in the Connor's Hotel, in Brenham Texas 10/29/1856. Fought at the Battle of Mier, his name and his brothers are on the monument at La Grange, Texas...His children were: Alexander married to Beatrice children: Dan, Betty (who married a Filmore) John & Winnie Charles Golden born 1847 and murdered in 1892 who married Lyda Serena May William who married Pina Wilkerson James H. who married Ruth Skelly children: Alexander Lee, Emma, Pete, Simon, Beatice, Winnie, Alice, Herbert, Cleo Gene who married Ida Grimes children: Betty Charles Golden is our gr grand father...and he moved from Lee Co. and Old Dime Box to London, Texas...He was murdered by his son-in-law in 1892...recently, ( in the past 5 years) his descendents located his grave, and through wonderful help, it has been restored in a special corner near the road on his ranch near London, Tex. with a Civil War monument now in place.
