My lost loved one--- and major brick wall is~~ ~(according to my Great Grandfather's Death Certificate~~~) Harry HENSLEY b. approx 1820/30's something in Tennessee married Polly SHELTON --- born in North Carolina (I have been unsuccessful in finding anything on these two) so far~~~one known son, my Great Grandfather: George Washington HENSLEY ( according to Death Certificate) b. in Tennessee- 1857 (unknown where in Tennessee) Was a Deputy Sheriff in Madison County, N.C. Lived in Walnut- N.C. when married. Buried in Wilde Cemetery-1947 married: Milam CHANDLEY/RAMSEY/SHELTON in approx 1892 3 children born to this marriage: L.B. HENSLEY--- (possibly William Elbert HENSLEY) (My Grandfather) married Ada ROBERTS in 1914 in Spartanburg S.C. Lived and died in Marion, McDowell County, North Carolina. Buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Marion N.C. 2 children born to this union: William Elbert HENSLEY John Avery HENSLEY Nelson HENSLEY --- Married to "Aunt Edie" - Edith HENSLEY- lived in Madison County, North Carolina. No children Nita HENSLEY WILDE ---- Married to Fred WILDE- eventually lived and passed away in Columbus, North Carolina. 9 or 10 children born to this marriage. One son-- James HARRY Wilde, and the rest--daughters. Am hoping someone has information (especially WHERE in Tennessee) on my Great-Great Grandparents Harry and Polly, and the names of their children. This search has come to a standstill.
