Hi to all, Does anyone have any information on Mary HENSLEY who married Christopher FRANK, April 16, 1788, Rockingham Co., VA. The Marriage Register has his name as Christian but the bond has Christopher. The marriage bond has working I haven't seen before. It states, "The condition of the above obligation. . . . bove named Christopher FRANK hath this day obtained license for marriage with Mary HENSLEY," then the word daughter is crossed out and the words,"a base born child of Elizabeth HENSLEY, Decd." Has anyone else seen the wording used in this bond? Who is Elizabeth and where is she from? 1788 is the earliest record I have found for a Hensley in Rockingham Co. Who is Christopher Frank?
