Betty, I'm so sorry that I don't have any information on Joseph Hensley's military service.  I am related to him through his son John Wesley Hensley (1790 - 1835).  John and his family moved to Putnam Indiana.  I believe John died there; but have not been able to find where he's buried.  Nor do I have a maiden name for John Wesley's wife Mary Ann.  Their daughter, Emily married my gg Joseph Edward "Ed" Gardner. These Hensleys can be somewhat elusive.
