To test for the Hensley line you need to have a Hensley male tested. You would need to find a male from one of your grandmother's brother's descendants. The one being tested must be a male with the Hensley surname. If you have any males in your extended family with the Hensley surname maybe one of them would consent to be tested. The DNA tested is passed on from father to son, then on down the generations. For example, in my case it is William Hensley Sr., william's son Fleming Hensley, Flemming's son Leander Hensley, Leander's son Thomas Austin Hensley, Thomas's son I. F. Hensley, I.F.'s son Paul Hensley and Paul's son who is my brother. If had not had brothers, then I would have had the choice to ask my dad's brother or some of his sons to be tested.
