My Great grandfather George and my great grandmother Margaret adopted Vicie Hensley when she was five years old. My great grandfather was a traveling preacher in the hills of southern W. Va. and brought Vicie back to his home to raise. My grandparents were Tom & Hattie Maynard who lived most of their adult lives on Pigeon Roost Hollow. In fact my grandfather Tom and his youngest son Rudolph are buried in the cemetery on Pigeon Roost. I would love to communicate with you about any information I have found about Vicie.
