Then type in Hoge Cemetery, not Hoge mountain,in Tennessee, Claiborne County. It gives gps markings but not an address. But since it is near New Tazewell, maybe if you find a store there, someone can direct you. All it says is that it is a small cemetery with a chain link fence around it. Mathais Hensley 1838-ca1896 was a son of Catherine McDavid and Samuel Hensley. Catherine is documented as a daughter of Michael McDavid. Find Mathias and wife Margaret in 1880 Wise County, VA census in the area that had just become a part of Dickerson County. In 1870 find Mathais and Margaret along with his mother in the Scott County, VA census and earlier in Greene County, TN. Mathias served in the Union Army out of Greene County, TN. His is listed in the VA 1890 Veterans Census. Also listed in but Scott County is his double first cousin Mathias W. Hensley.
