She married Philip Kesner Collins in Indiana and they were my gg grandparents. Her brother, John Calvin Hensley, married Philip's sister, Juraldine Tardee Collins in Indiana. Philip and Drusanne died of cholera on the way to Missouri and their children were taken in by John Calvin and Juraldine, who eventually did get to Missouri (Mercer County). I would love to learn anything more that anyone has run across on this line, and will share anything I have. I do have a short "Hensley-Collins" history, that was written by a descendant of Berryman Hensley (Claude E. Hensley) which is stored at the Oklahoma Historical Society, as well as a bio of Travis Franklin Hensley (1851-1944)--- am attempting to post the bio but will have to scan the other. Hope it is helpful. If it doesn't come through I will email to you if you will post same. There ! is apparently also a "Hensley Genealogy" by Claude E. Hensley there as well, but I do not have it. WR Hensley and Delilah were 1st cousins if I have the lineage correct. They should have known each other as they were born only 3 months apart in Shelby County, Kentucky. They both traveled to Johnson County, Indiana where the Hensleys settled Hensley Township before WR Hensley left for Texas. I am interested in anything you can share about the Hensley lineage, especially going back to Indiana, Kentucky and Virginia. You will have to go to the MyFamily.com website and create an account there. In order to actually get into the Hensley site, you need an invitation from the site administrator. All I know is she married George Washington Evans, that she died around age 30 after giving birth to a baby who died and when she was little she was adopted by the Maynard family. The 1910 census shows her living with the Maynard family and has her listed as a cousin. I hope some of this may sound familiar to someone out there. I have been searching for her for years without any luck. I know she is buried in Evans Cemetery, Pigeon Roost Hollow, Delbarton Wv. I am looking for her parents names, location and any siblings she may have had. It's like she dropped out of the sky! Thanks for any help you can provide! Leroy was the son of Simeon Hensley (twin to Simon) and Louisa Collier. He died on 2 Feb 1972 and is buried in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Warrenton.
