Does anyone on the list that I have not corresponded with before see how their line may fit into mine or anyone I have corresponded before see any additions or corrections that can be made. 1. [HENSLEY-L] Hensley Census records 1790-1850
    2. Marty Grant
    3. Hi Reva and gang, I have put some of my Hensley web pages back online. Reva, I saw your inquiry about the 1830 and 1840 Edward Co, IL census and realized I had that data on my old web pages. This inspired me to put the census pages back online since so many could benefit from them. So now I have the 1790 through 1850 census records online again. Some are incomplete (especially 1850) but I'm always working on adding new listings. The rest of my Hensley pages are going to take awhile before I get back to them. I've still got the health problems that caused me to remove them to begin with, but now I also got flooded by Hurricane Floyd, so this hasn't been a very good year for me! :-( Oh well, that is how it goes. Anyway, here is the link to the census pages: http://www.martygrant.com/gen/hensley/hensley-census.htm As always, any comments, suggestions, etc are appreciated. Marty Grant - (Marvin A. 3. I have received some pictures of some of the headstones in Elijah Cemetery, Elijah, Ozark Co., MO. They were taken by a wonderful volunteer (aren't volunteers great?!). The pictures are by no means inclusive of all of the headstones in the cemetery, just the headstones with the surnames in my family and those headstones surrounding them that might have been of significance to me. It is a fairly small cemetery and she tried to get all of them, but it is possible she missed a few. I have only the information that is in the pictures, nothing more. Thought I would share the info on the headstones with HENSLEY names (and variations) on them. All of the various spellings that are typed here are the correct spellings for the particular stones. Other names I have some info on: TACKITT, TACKETT, WESTMORELAND, BUMLEY, and BRONSON. Hope this helps someone. 3. Hi Linda, I know this is long shot (it's a good thing I don't bet on horses or I'd be broke!) but the name the name of your grandfather, Arthur Hensley, caught my eye and I wanted to run this by you to see if there might be a connection. My wife's grandfather, Millard Fillmore Hensley, had a brother name Arthur. I don't have any definite dates on him but he should have been born in the 1880-1890 year range and was probably born in eastern Kentucky or just over the line in West Virginia. They had a sister name Vicey and brothers name Benjamin Alvin, Jim, Andy and Clarence. Their father's name (I've been told) was James Hensley and their mother was name Julie or Judy. Does any of these names sound familiar? Like I said, it's a long shot but I couldn't sleep if I didn't ask! Thanks, Jerry ---------- > From: Linda <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Subject: [HENSLEY-L] Hensley/Wright Tennessee > Date: Wednesday, October 13, 1999 10:04 PM > > 1. 3. Does anyone out there have anything on a Cedar Hensley/abt 1775 married to a Winnefred Thompson/1783. They supposedly had about 7 children and lived for a time around the "Senecca Rocks" area of Virginia. I have found 4 children but am looking for the others. Anyone? Ken Carrico [email protected]
